Bureau, April 29: Continuing its selfless Endeavour towards humanity rendering humanitarian services towards the ‘Greater Glory of God’ the Covid- Warriors of team Anjuman-E-Islam under the guidance of president Raju Sait on Thursday conducted a respectable funeral.
Voluntarily taking up the responsibility Teacher Mayrose Fernandes who died at a private hospital on Wednesday was rendered a respectable funeral as per Christian rites.
The wreath laden coffin reached the Christian cemetery Thursday morning after which Teacher Mayrose was given a final adieu.The funeral was held as per the Christian rites in presence of her son Ivan and two eminent priests Fr Jack Menezes and Fr Nelson Pinto.
Respected by students, teachers and the nuns from the St Josephs’ Convent she was a well acclaimed teacher of Social Studies. Identified by her no nonsense attitude she was always upright and respected in all circles. Teacher Mayrose Victor Fernandes was due for retirement in May !
Team Anjuman-E-Islam comprising of Samiullah Madiwale, Ashfaq Ghori, Faheem Naikawadi, Babulal Mujawar, Amin Pattikeri, Azam Momin, Raju Mulla , Sameer Naik and others have been rendering a yeoman service to the humanity going beyond caste, creed or religion. The team has conducted over 200 cremations voluntarily going beyond caste-creed-religion and geographical boundaries Our services are aimed at serving humanity for the greater glory of God, Sait said.
