BM Bureau, June 19 : Nippani (Rural) police team accompanied by NDRF team have rescued a person from Mathiwad village who was being washed away in the strong river current of River Vedganga. The person was reportedly trying to cross the Akkol-Sidnal bridge, however, as the river is in spate due to heavy rains, the person was washed away along with the strong currents.
Local villagers supported the police and NDRT teams in rescuing the person, SP Laxman Nimbargi said.
