BM Bureau,Four members of a family were reportedly murdered by unknown miscreants in Gadag in the wee hours of Friday.
The deceased have been identified as Kartik Bakale, 27, Parashuram, 55, Laxmi, 45, and Akanksha, 17.
Kartik’s mother, Sunanda Bakale, is the vice president of the Gadag-Betgeri City Municipal Council (GBCMC), and his father, Prakash Bakale, was also vice president of the GBCMC.
Murder of four family members sparked a police investigation, with IGP Vikas Kumar leading the case. The miscreants left jewelry untouched, indicating a lack of a gain motive. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the culprits.
